hi i absolutelly adore this site and i really enjoy everyone’s posts in here but i haven’t really seen any post on how any of you show of your magazine collection.

for example in my room i have build a closet with most of my more valuable magazines all numbered from date and year and i wondered if any of you also has a nice closet where you put your more prized magezines in that you woudn’t destroy but that you just keep to expand your collection

for example here is my book closet full of magazines right in my main room:

now i live alone so it might be easy for me to do this because i dont know how your living situation is and if you can even put your magazine fetish on display so im curious to hear you guys stories

thanks for reading

  1. I have a “secret stash” under my bed. I live alone too but I often get visited by relatives so… not going to take chances and all that.

Funnily enough, my largest stash is actually in my parent’s home, which I collected back when I was still in high school (and earlier). I haven’t been there since college and I heard my parents actually rented out the house, and I’m sure they’ve been discovered.

I already considered those magazines a loss, because I have several proof that they’ve been discovered. One time I got a package sent from that house containing random fragile stuff (think of photo albums and whatever), and the contents were padded with crumpled torn pages of various magazines and newspapers. Which meant somebody found the stash… and probably didn’t understand how important those things were. Another proof was one time that house was getting renovated (repainted) and I saw a picture of various pages just strewn about on the floor. That was when I decided that the situation was hopeless and I should just let them go…

I didn’t wallow in sadness for too long though. I pretty much built my collections from scratch, and I feel like it’s actually better now considering I can buy anything I want and store them wherever these days. I’m actually more worried about whether my parents had known about my “proclivities”, so to say. Sure it’s been a decade since high school so it doesn’t matter but still..

That being said, I don’t know if others do this, but I do have a stack of “usable” magazines and newspapers ready to use close to the bathroom, in case I want to pull a fast one. They’re just some of the more disposable ones that I don’t really care about…

  2. Wow, that’s a very nice collection. I’d love to have my magazines like that, but I just can’t. My girlfriend doesn’t want to play with magazines anymore. I posted part of my collection here years ago, but I can’t find it.

The funny thing is, my entire collection is still in my old room at my parents’ house. It’s well hidden—no idea if they ever found my precious stash, but most likely not.

    1. Oh, that’s unfortunate. If you still remember the title of your post, I might still be able to help you find it.

I guess that makes the two of us, with our collections stuck at our parents’ house..

That being said, these days I tried my best to, let just say, “repurchase” those magazines. I still remember most of them, so I’ve been scouring the marketplace to buy the same ones I’ve lost..
